Allograft is a special placenta product first used as a surgical wound covering.

Allografts have recently found success in treating joint disease, particularly of the knee, shoulder and hip, as well as tendonitis injuries such as tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis.

Placentas are donated by pregnant women who are undergoing cesarean section delivery. The placenta is then checked for disease, cleaned, sterilized, processed into a powder and then cryopreserved.

While this tissue contains little to no stem cells, it does possess over 100 proteins that influence joint health and cartilage, reducing inflammation, and fostering tissue repair.
