Dr. Todd Joye, MD
The founder of InterveneMD, Dr. Joye is board certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain management and has over 20 years of experience practicing ortho/spine medicine in Charleston. For 4 years, he served patients at Bon-Secours St. Francis Hospital, where he was the Medical Director of Pain Management. He then moved his practice to an outpatient office setting where patients could get the same high-quality procedures without the need for expensive hospitalization.

Considered the leading Charleston expert in the application of regenerative treatments to improve spine-related pain and dysfunction, he relentlessly challenges the status quo and pursues new evidence-based treatments and technology to help his patients reach their functional goals.
Dr. Joye is a founding member of the South Carolina Society of Interventional Pain Physicians as well as an active member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He also has earned clinical peptide certification by the SSRP and regularly attends international conferences to ensure his patients have access to the most cutting-edge treatments possible.
Physician Assistant
Jennifer Pedersen
A proud Michigander, Jennifer moved to South Carolina in 2017 in pursuit of warmer weather and a career in medicine. After graduating PA school in Greenville, SC at the top of her class, Jen joined the team at InterveneMD.
All About Jennifer
She is known for her ability to make patients laugh and feel at ease. Whether it’s giving a patient an injection for hip pain, helping them reach their goal weight, or improving their athletic performance through peptide therapy, Jen specializes in both traditional and holistic medical therapies for ortho/spine health and wellness.
When she’s not seeing patients, Jen loves spending quality time with friends and family, traveling, cooking, and being on the water. She lives in Charleston with her sweet golden retriever, Daisy.
Physical Therapist Assistant
Megan Gaffin
Megan was born and raised in North Carolina but has called Mount Pleasant home since 2017. She has a wealth of knowledge in wellness and the human body, most recently working as a Physical Therapist Assistant. A proud ECU alumni, she captained the D1 Women’s Soccer team and earned her master’s degree from High Point University. If she is not on the soccer field with her two kids, Megan loves getting into a new book, practicing hot yoga, crushing peloton workouts and sneaking away for date nights with her husband.
Medical Assistant, Certified Pharmacy Technician
Ashby Echanique
The office jokester, Ashby is known for making patients laugh and keeping the mood light. He lives on Johns Island with his wife, Morgan, owner of The Pharmacy Club in Charleston, and their 5 year old daughter, Marlow, queen of her dance team. After 13 years as a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician, Ashby joined the InterveneMD team as Medical Assistant. In his free time, you can find Ashby working on his golf swing, frequenting local restaurants with his family, having date nights at the movies and spending time on the water.
Physical Therapist Assistant
Brian Baker
Brian lives in Summerville with his wife, Amanda, and their three cats – most of which act like dogs. He was born and raised in Charleston, but got a taste of the big city when he lived in NYC for 8 years. Brian’s career in wellness originated as a personal trainer before he transitioned to a more clinical role in physical therapy. He loves to hike, eat delicious food, lounge in the pool with his wife on a Saturday, and practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Houzn Jiu Jitsu Academy.

Brittany Graven
Although she grew up in Connecticut, Brittany’s heart belongs to the south. She moved to Charleston in 2015 after four very cold winters at UConn (Go Huskies!). After 8 tremendous years caring for and managing a family of 5, Brittany joined the team at InterveneMD. A natural-born caregiver, Brittany loves to support and connect with our patients. When she’s not coordinating the chaos of a private practice, you can find her spoiling her pup Remy, hunting for shark teeth on Folly Beach, chasing the sunset, taking family walks around the neighborhood, and trying new local restaurants with her husband, Ben.
Nurse Practitioner
Deborah Manke
Deborah Manke, HNP, IFMCP is a triple-board certified holistic, functional medicine and primary care nurse practitioner. One of her many mantras is “food is medicine,” and her passion for gut health knows no bounds! Deborah loves helping patients establish holistic habits to support the body’s nutrient needs. She believes the key to longevity is preventing and treating inflammation and the many inflammatory disorders we see every day.

Deborah specializes in cardiovascular and neurocognitive disease risk testing and mitigation, targeted wellness supplementation, comprehensive blood work analysis, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), IV infusion therapy, and so much more!
When not at work, in community service, or on her yoga mat, she enjoys fine dining, pickleball, and world travel.
