Freya was born and raised in Colorado Springs, but has been living in Charleston for the last 30 years. Most of that time she has been working in the pain management field, starting in rheumatology and then gravitating to interveneMD in 2004. Coming from a family where chronic pain was a big player, she has intricate personal and professional knowledge of the pain problem, and a healthy respect for it. She is a firm believer that humor is the salve we often need and she is always happy to make bad jokes to that end. In her free time, she enjoys family, yoga, art, and her feisty little ball of fur.
